Daughter of Thomas Wood and Harriet Wood (née Knight)

 

Born on 26th May 1844 (12.45pm) at 16 Munster Square, Regent's Park, St. Pancras[1].

 

1851: 10 Oxford Street, St Pancras[2].]

 

1861: 7 Oxford Street, St Pancras – Milliner[3].[

 

Married Alfred William Carpenter on 23rd August 1868 at St. Marks Church, Clerkenwell, London[4].

 

1871: 59 Cook’s Road, Kennington, London[5].

 

1881: 69 Faraday Street, Newington, Surrey[6].

 

1891: 60 Coleman Road, Camberwell, London[7].

 

1901: 17 Gairloch Road, Camberwell, London[8].

 

1911: 17 Gairloch Road, Camberwell, London.

On the night of Sunday 2nd April 1911 Mary Carpenter (67) was living with her husband Alfred William Carpenter (68) and their daughter Lillian (25) at 17 Gairloch Road, which was described as having four rooms.The enumeration schedule showed that they had been married for 43 years and that they had seven children (six still living, one who had died).

 

Mary Carpenter, aged 67 years, late of 17 Gairloch Road, Camberwell was interred at Camberwell Old Cemetery on 10th May 1911[9].
