Daughter of Ernest Lionel Carpenter and Ella Virginia Carpenter (née Fricke)

Born on 6th August 1879.

1880: Fulton, Callaway County, Missouri. 

On 1st June 1880 Goldie was 10 months old and living with her parents Ernest Lionel Carpenter (31), a coal miner, and Jennie (20) Carpenter.

Goldie's father, Ernest Lionel Carpenter, died on 19th September 1887.

1900: 501 Broadway, Jefferson City, Cole County, Missouri^[ - Shoe Stitcher.

On 11th June 1900 Goldie (20) was living with her family in a house owned by Jennie (the head of the household)^[]. At this time Jennie (a widow, aged 40) had reverted to using the surname of Carpenter and her two children by Samuel Green were also grouped under the Carpenter surname in the household entry^[. The census also shows us that Eustace (18) and Jessie (16) were working as shoe stitchers, whilst Ernest (14), May (9)  and Eddie (7) were at school.

1910: 1100 North Leonard Avenue, St Louis City, Missouri^[ - Milliner in a Millinery Store.

On 16th April 1910 Goldie L. Carpenter (30, single) was living with her family in a house rented by Jennie (the head of the household). At this time Jennie (a widow, aged 50) was living with five of her children (the missing child was Jessie Ernestine^[]).  

1920: 3803a Shenandoah [Avenue], St Louis City, Missouri^[] - Trimmer in a Millinery Store.

On 1st January 1920^[ Goldie Carpenter (40) was living with her family in a property rented by Jennie (the head of the household). Eustace (38, single), a foreman in a shoe factory, was also living at the same address.

1930:

Goldie Lenore Carpenter died on 24 September 1959 at Fresno, California^[1].
